Man charged with aggravated child molestation for incidents dating back to 2022
A man from Forsyth, Georgia, has been booked into the Floyd County Jail on a felony count of aggravated child molestation.
According to an arrest warrant:
46-year-old Nathaniel Bernard McQuay made a child under the age of 16 perform sexual acts on him.
The incidents occurred from June 1, 2022 to March 30, 2023 at a location on Robin Hood Road.
Man accused of stealing a purse from a vehicle
A Cedartown man has been arrested on charges of entering an automobile and theft by taking.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
25-year-old Coby Hunter Pearson entered a woman’s vehicle on Ridgefield Drive in Silver Creek and took a purse with items in it.
The theft occurred on August 29.
Last week, 25-year-old Dale Jackson Early Jr. was arrested for allegedly taking purses from vehicles at two separate addresses on Ridgefield Drive, and a gun from a vehicle on Longwood Court, also on August 29.
Man facing drug charges, playing loud music
A Rome man was jailed following a traffic stop on East First Avenue at East Second Street in Downtown Rome on Monday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
40-year-old Andrew Allen Miller had a THC vape pen and a small amount of marijuana in the front passenger area of his vehicle.
Miller is charged with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, and loud music.
