Man charged with computer pornography and statutory rape
A Coosa man is accused of producing child pornography.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
19-year-old Mikell Sonny Jackson is accused of having sex with a female under the age of 16.
He also used a cell phone to record separate videos of sex acts involving the minor in which she was easily identifiable.
Jackson is charged with two counts of computer pornography and one count of statutory rape.
Woman charged with two counts of aggravated assault
A Rome woman is facing charges following a reported assault with a hammer on Maple Street that occurred this past Sunday.
According to the arrest warrants:
32-year-old Latosha Jana Proctor used the hammer to strike the front and rear driver’s side windows of a 2019 Honda Accord.
A woman was in the driver’s seat, and an infant was in the driver’s side rear seat during the attack.
Proctor is charged with two counts of aggravated assault.
Man accused of being high while at the soup kitchen
A Rome man was arrested on Calhoun Avenue on Tuesday and charged with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance and public intoxication.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
53-year-old Arthur Tremaine Adams was high on synthetic marijuana while at the soup kitchen.
He was also found to be in possession of a controlled substance.
