The Forum in Downtown Rome was filled with equipment for pipe fitting, masonry, and other blue collar fields on Thursday for the Skills Challenge.
The Skills Challenge is a touring event and competition to test the skills of students in classes that teach skills like masonry, plumbing, cabinet making, and others. With events in all of these categories and much more.
The event works to encourage young people to enter these fields. As they are typically dominated by older persons and face an astonishingly low replacement rate for the future.
