You’ve seen it on TV, but on Friday, area residents got to ‘relish’ the opportunity to see the one and only Oscar Mayer Wienermobile in person.
“At the Grill Alex” and “Meatloaf Maggie” are recently graduated “Hotdoggers” who travel on a coast-to-coast wiener roast on a year-long tour.
“We are at the Piggly Wiggly, trying to spark some smiles,” Maggie said. “We have a ring-toss game set up, and we’ve got plenty of ways to enjoy an Oscar Mayer wiener on there, and talking about how any time is a good time to have an Oscar Mayer wiener. We’re taking some pictures and hanging out with as many people as we can.”
Of course, the Independence Day holiday is the prime time for hot dogs.
“We are the southeast team,” said Issac. “Kentucky was the first state we were able to go to since we are recent graduates. I guess you could call us ‘fresh meat on the hot dog highways.’ After this week, we will be in Atlanta.”
These hotdoggers definitely ‘cut the mustard.’
“We will be at plenty of other Piggly Wigglys in the area, if you want to go ahead and check out the Oscar Mayer website,” Maggie added. “If you go to the Wienermobile tab, you’ll be able to find where we are at ‘Where My Dogs At.” Just give it a look and you can see all of our events in the area.”
