A relatively light agenda awaits Rome City Commissioners when they meet Monday.
The meeting is being held a week earlier because commissioners will be attending the Georgia Municipal Association’s annual conference in Savannah later this week and early next week.
During the caucus, which begins at 5 pm, commissioners will get updates on the land bank authority from Community Development Director Bekki Fox.
The regular meeting begins at 6:30 pm, and agenda items include a resolution regarding fees for septic haulers.
The fees are expected to increase from $450 to $600 for Kingston Park Utilities and from $125 to $175 for all waste haulers.
The commission will also read a proclamation for Juneteenth.
City offices will be closed this Thursday for the holiday which commemorates the end of slavery in the United States.
