-News Release-
The annual A Race to Remember 5K, presented by the A Night to Remember Foundation, is set for Saturday, June 27, 2026, bringing the community together for a meaningful morning of fitness, fun, and philanthropy.
A Night to Remember Foundation supports critical dementia-related initiatives, including dementia care needs, the Caring Closet, a local grant program, and the Alzheimer’s Association. Proceeds will directly benefit individuals and families in the community affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
Participants of all ages and fitness levels are invited to take part in a scenic and memorable experience through some of Rome’s most beautiful pathways and bridges. Whether you choose to run, walk, or simply enjoy the atmosphere, the event is designed to be both uplifting and inclusive. All registered participants will receive an event t-shirt.
The event will kick off at 8 AM with the start of the 5K Run/Walk, followed by the 1-Mile Health Walk beginning 15 minutes later. The morning will conclude with the Awards Ceremony.
This year’s theme, “Heroes Run,” encourages participants to dress as their favorite heroes. Participants are also encouraged to form teams. Groups of five or more may be eligible for a team discount by contacting event organizers at info@anighttorememberromega.com.
The race course is USATF-certified, ensuring an officially recognized and professionally measured route that will start and end at the Courtyard Rome Riverwalk.
“We hope the community will come together for this special event—not only to raise awareness, but to support those directly impacted by Alzheimer’s and dementia,” organizers shared. “We are so thankful to our committed sponsors, Courtyard Marriott, Home Instead, TENDO technologies LLC, MegTreg Collective, Six Mile Contracting LLC, and Old Guy Construction.”
Registration is now open, and early sign-up is encouraged. Day-of registration will be available. Register here: https://runsignup.com/Race/GA/Rome/ARace2Remember5K
