Bond has been denied for an Anniston, Alabama man following his arrest in a crash that claimed the life of a one-year-old child in Polk County on July 4.
According to the Georgia State Patrol:
The wreck occurred on July 4 at 2:50 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 100 and Fields Road south of Cedartown
A Ford Mustang was traveling at a speed too fast to negotiate a curve, traveled off the right side of the roadway, and struck a concrete culvert head-on.
The child was in the front seat with no car seat.
She was transported to Floyd Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries on Sunday.
The driver, Ezzie Tommy Harrison, remains in the Polk County Jail on multiple charges, including felony 1st-degree vehicular homicide, DUI, endangering a child while DUI, a child restraint violation, failure to maintain a lane, no insurance, driver to exercise due care, failure to maintain a lane, and no registration.
