Man Charged for Fighting Police
A man has been arrested and charged after being arrested while inside the Floyd County Jail for attacking officers.
According to Floyd County Jail Records:
Christopher Martez Cammick of Clarkston was in Floyd County Jail when he began to fight a deputy and put him in a headlock. He also attempted to fight other officers before he was eventually stopped.
Cammick has been charged with multiple felonies.
Man Arrested After Giving False Name at Traffic Stop
A man was arrested in Southwest Rome on August 4th after giving an officer a false name.
According to Floyd County Jail Records:
45 year old Timothy Terry Smith Jr was pulled over for a brake light that was not functioning. After which he told the officer that his name was “Titus Smith” from Washington State. After some time Terry was properly identified and it was found that he had a suspended license and an expired tag. An open beer can was also seen in the cup holder of the car.
Timothy Terry Smith Jr has been charged with giving a false name, having a suspended license, and having a broken brake light.
Man Arrested for Battery
A man was arrested after hitting another man on New Calhoun Highway.
According to Floyd County Jail Records:
Mark Thomas Scoffield of Prospect Road was arrested for hitting another man with a closed fist on his right ear.
Mr. Scoffield has been charged with misdemeanor battery.
Man Arrested for Possession of Anabolic Steroids
According to Floyd County Jail Records:
47 year old James Anthony Pilgrim was arrested on August 4th after being found with two anabolic steroid pills. None of which he had a prescription nor a proper container for.
Mr. Pilgrim has been charged with possession of a schedule 3 substance.
