The Rome Alcohol Control Commission will consider a beer and wine package license for a new business near AdventHealth Stadium when it meets on Monday.
UPOP Rome is described as an upscale urban provisions store featuring a café and motor fuel services.
The initial approval of the license was granted on September 15, 2025, and an extension was approved on March 16 of this year.
At that time, the applicant explained to the ACC members that there had been a decision to alter the interior configuration of the building, which resulted in unexpected interior work that delayed construction.
Originally, two separate suites were planned for inside this building; however, now it will just be one large area with more retail space and more space dedicated to the wine and grocery selections.
Monday’s ACC meeting begins at 5 pm at Rome City Hall.
