Area trick-or-treaters will get a head start on collecting that Halloween on Friday.
The annual Downtown Trick-or-Treat is from 3 until 5 p.m.
“That will be all in Downtown Rome,” said Kristi Kent with the Georgia’s Rome Office of Tourism. “All the businesses participate in that and we are so thankful for their support. That’s an expensive day for the downtown businesses, passing out that free candy. The event is always packed.”
Also on Friday afternoon, the Treats Not Streets event will be held at the former joint law enforcement center.
Come see your Floyd County & Rome City Public Safety Agencies and Community Partners for a free trick-or-treat event from 3 until 5:30 p.m.
There will be a Kids Costume Contest at 4 pm along with a Best Tent Design Contest, and lots of Candy.
